Antwan Staley, New York Daily News: Just talk about your skillset and just what do you think your strongest attributes are?

I feel like I’m an all-around DB, pretty versatile. I can play anywhere in the secondary. I feel like I have good instincts, I use my length and I have good speed.

Antwan Staley, New York Daily News: How do you feel like, you played some safety and corner while at LSU and also at Oklahoma State, just talk about how that helped you get to this point?
I just think it helped me understand defense better and understanding how to play the game. It just expanded my mind and challenged me to learn more than one position and that was corner. I feel like playing safety helped me gain more knowledge of the game.

Antwan Staley, New York Daily News: Did you know the Jets were interested in you throughout this pre-draft process?
Yes sir. I was pretty heavily in contact with those guys.

Zack Rosenblatt, The Athletic: Jarrick, did the Jets tell you if they want you to play safety or corner? Do you know what they have in mind for you?

Not yet, just looking to come in and play wherever they want me to play.

Antwan Staley, New York Daily News: You also have some experience on special teams, too. Talk about your progression there and how do you think that went for you during your time in college?
Special teams is part of the game and it’s just as important as offense and defense. I valued it highly, and I feel like I’m pretty good on special teams, so I’m looking to contribute.

Antwan Staley, New York Daily News: What do you know about the Jets specifically? Sauce Gardner ended up winning Defensive Rookie of the Year last year, they also have DJ Reed, Michael Carter II as well. Just talk about the guys you could potentially be playing with this year.
They got guys, like you said, Sauce, they got D.J. Reed, C.J. Mosley, Quinnen Williams, just guys all over that defense that are playmakers and superstars. I think it’s going to be a good chance for me to come in and help those guys win.
